Marathon Suggestions

Hi everyone,

The main focus of ExtraLives.org is our gaming marathons for charity. We aim to play games that you at least have a passing interest in.

However, since I've yet to perfect my skills at reading minds, I have no idea what you all think about the games we play. The last thing I want to do is have a marathon full of games that nobody cares about! Marathons require quite a bit of planning, so I want to interest and entertain as many people as possible.

So, if you want us to play a certain set of games for a marathon, leave your ideas here. I'm open to any and all suggestions, although I'd prefer that marathons consist of a bunch of related games or games in a series.

(Just keep in mind that it may be difficult to have marathons with games that nobody here has or games that are expensive or hard to find. Although I am many things, rich is not one of them.)

There's not really an end point to The Sims.

Unless it involved who could get their kids sent off to military school the fastest (I was always pretty good at that).

Megaman would be a great Marathon since theres easy way to switch off, many games to play. Megaman 1-9, Megaman x1-3, etc.
Final Fantasy Marathon would be awesome, but I'm afraid it would take too long. This goes for the same as Dragon Quest and Star Ocean.
Castlevania marathon would be a nice one as well.
Maybe also like a one hit wonder RPG Games, so like Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, etc.

A Golden Sun marathon would be plain awesome. Playing through one of the best RPG series ever and seeing who finishes first would be great, ESPECIALLY because it's so non-linear a lot of the time.
